Last Week Romeo Hunte unveiled his “Ivy Noir” SS27 collection during New York Fashion Week.
Each season Hunte’s venues become even more innovative and whimsical than the last. Last season Hunte had a Dark Knight-esque runway at Gotham Hall and this season”Ivy Noir” brought guests out to House of Spells in Time Square. NLE Choppa, Key Glock, Yung Miami, Rapsody, Dorion Renaud, Shaqir O’Neal, Zoe Spencer, Trinidad James and Jeremiah Brown were among a few of the special guests in attendance last Friday at the show and Gabrielle Union even attended Hunte’s illustrious afterparty. The 35 look runway consisted of Hunte’s signature architectural tailoring, statement outerwear and elevated denim and incorporated standout models like Yaya DeCosta, Wendell Lissimore and singer Lavaud.

A few of our favorite pieces from the collection included looks 29 and 30 which featured head-to-toe black lace in ornate leaf and floral designs. Look 29 was a beautiful one-piece jumpsuit with flared pants and beautiful flared sleeves. Look 30 was an all-black lace gown with exaggerated cuffs. Both of these looks perfectly embodied Hunte’s Ivy Noir theme for this season’s collection. Hunte’s biggest clients have included Beyoncé, Michelle Obama and Stevie Wonder and some of his collaborators include Tommy Hilfiger and Mercedes-Benz.
