The TIFF red carpet roll out for Lee Chang-dong’s ‘Possible Love’ was extraordinary.
Winner of the Silver Lion at the 2026 Venice Film Festival and South Korea’s entry for Best International Feature Film at the 2027 Academy Awards, Netflix took Toronto by storm with the film’s North American Premiere in Toronto. Thousands lined the streets to capture the festival darling masterpiece and the film’s stars on Sept. 14 at the legendary Princess of Wales theater.

Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung, and Cho Yeo-jeong were there to greet fans at the starry screening along with the director whose eagerly anticipated new film brings stories of relationships and generational and class divides as it follows two couples playing games with themselves and one another.

The Netflix release is already bringing attention to the festival circuit as well as awards season. Next up – ‘Possible Love’ is set to take a bit out of the Big Apple with a premiere at New York Film Festival in a few weeks.
