The Hornitos Mex Gala transformed a SoHo rooftop into a vibrant, high-energy experience where music, cocktails, and interactive moments came together seamlessly. As ‘The Tequila de Todos‘, Hornitos set the tone with standout drinks and fun.
The Hornitos Mex Gala was more than just a party, it was a full cultural moment. Rooted in Mexican and Latino culture, the night celebrated community, self-expression, and the idea of showing up exactly as you are. Hosted at the Arlo SoHo, the rooftop setting paired perfectly with the gorgeous weather. This created an atmosphere that felt both elevated and effortlessly vibrant. Guests were fully in it, soaking up the energy, the views, and the intention behind the night.
Las Flaquitas, the DJs for the evening, curated a set that kept the energy flowing with a diverse catalog of sounds. What really hit, though, was the reggaeton, deeply rooted in Latino culture and impossible not to move to. Their debut “All You Need Is Three” cocktail, featuring Hornitos Reposado, Blanco, was beyond delicious and felt like a signature moment of the night.

The cocktail menu didn’t miss. The classic margarita was beautifully crafted and perfectly balanced, no notes. Their take on a tequila sunrise was elevated with flavors like mango and hibiscus, making it an instant fan favorite. And then there was the Horchata Colada, an unexpected but seamless twist on a staple Mexican drink. It was rich, refreshing, and a creative way to weave cultural elements into something new without losing authenticity.

But the night wasn’t just about what was in your glass. A cotton candy machine added a playful, nostalgic touch that balanced out the upscale setting. Even more of a standout was the custom tooth gems station, where guests could design and bedazzle their own pieces on the spot. It felt personal, expressive, and very on-theme, another way for people to literally wear their individuality.
Overall, the Hornitos Mex Gala was a night of culture, embracement, and love, but it also felt intentional in the way it brought people together. There was a real sense of connection in the air, whether people came with friends or left with new ones. It wasn’t just about attending an event. It was about being part of something that celebrated identity and expression without limits. By the end of the night, it was clear the event reflected how culture, when centered authentically, can turn a party into something much more meaningful.
