Nostalgia never tasted so good. When I told my boyfriend I was going to try the Monster Pizookie at BJ’s, he already knew all about it.
With excitement he told me that it’s chocolate on top of ice cream on top of a cookie. He forgot to mention the ornamental Oreos on the ice cream, but nobody’s perfect.
You see he lives on culinary TikTok, and immediately got me hyped for this iteration of BJ’s classic Pizookie, a Cookie Monster inspired reverie that left me wondering if I should get a second one for the road.
I had a ribeye and side for $22 before indulging in this decadent dessert, a combo that would put the most virile among us in a food coma for the ages.

Biting into it on a 100 degree LA day was euphoric. It was like diving into a succulent pool, the Oreos my floaties.
You would think with how many orders the kitchen has to fill that this would taste at least a little pre-fixe, but no – it was made with love, both savory and sugary.
