If you weren’t at the Fairmont Chicago on the evening of March 6th, you missed something truly special. In honor of Women’s Month, Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park teamed up with Modern Day Wife — the lifestyle platform redefining what modern womanhood looks like — to host The Icon Edit, a night that was equal parts runway show, inspiring panels, and celebration of everything women do and are. Think: 250 of Chicago’s most influential women packed into a stunning 16,000-square-foot ballroom for an evening overflowing with empowering conversations, jaw-dropping fashion, live entertainment, and pop-up shops that were basically any woman’s dream.

The event drew an incredible roster of panelists who brought the heat. Mari Pepin, best known to Bachelor Nation from The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, headlined the speaker series alongside content creators Catie Keogh and Jen Adams, Parisa Shifteh (The Bachelor), and the multi-hyphenate Kellie Sbrocchi — content creator, speaker, podcaster, AND event host. Because why just do one thing when you can do it all?

One of the night’s most buzzed-about moments? A first-of-its-kind Power Couple Panel featuring celebrity makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff and her husband, actor Corr Kendricks. Goals, honestly.

The Icon Edit wasn’t just a one-night affair. It’s part of a growing national tour spearheaded by Modern Day Wife founders Meghan Fialkoff and Meagan Elieff, who also MC’ed the evening. Fresh off a successful event during NYFW at the W Hoboken, the tour is heading to W Miami for Miami Swim Week, el Prado Hotel, Sofitel Beverly Hills, W Dallas, and W Scottsdale.
Each stop on the tour covers the full spectrum of women’s lives — career, relationships, motherhood, beauty, wellness, and fashion — through speaker panels, pop-ups, brand experiences, and of course, fabulous fashion shows.
The founders are clearly fired up about what they’re building: “We’re incredibly excited to bring this event and tour to communities across the country. This has always been about creating meaningful, shared experiences, and being able to offer this on a national level is a powerful moment for us and for the communities that have supported our vision from the beginning.” — Meghan Fialkoff & Meagan Elieff, Founders of Modern Day Wife.

Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park — with its breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and steps away from Millennium Park — proved to be the ultimate backdrop for the event. The hotel’s 63,000 square feet of event space was transformed into an immersive experience designed for seamless flow and maximum glamour.

Exhibitors including Kristine T. Collections, The One Spa Chicago, and CCRM Fertility – Naperville rounded out the evening’s pop-up experience, while partners New Beauty Magazine, Yelp Chicago, and The Knockturnal helped bring it all to life.
If The Icon Edit Chicago is any indication of what’s coming, the next stops on the Modern Day Wife tour are going to be unmissable. Keep your eyes on their upcoming events in Miami, Beverly Hills, Dallas, and Scottsdale — and start planning your outfits now. Because if there’s one thing this night proved, it’s that when women get in a room together to celebrate, inspire, and uplift each other? Magic happens.
