Last Thursday, NYC’s social scene took a brief journey to the sky, celebrating the soft opening of Rosehill Rooftop in Midtown Manhattan.
Perched atop the Park South Hotel, the rooftop venue hosted a lively crowd of influencers and tastemakers eager to get a first look and taste of the city’s newest elevated hangout. Attendees were greeted with a glass of bubbly upon arrival, setting the tone for a chic evening in the city. The decor evoked a nod to the classic rooftop venues from the archives of NYC’s history.
Bites & Delights
Servers made their way through with trays of crowd-pleasing bites. Guests sampled an assortment of elevated bar snacks, including veggie tacos, sliders, and crispy chips topped with whipped goat cheese. Admittedly, the popularity of the event made nabbing a plate a bit difficult. But the reward was worth the effort. Each bite was thoughtfully crafted and full of flavor. This added a culinary edge to the outdoor setting.
Drinks & Spirits
The rooftop was equipped with three fully stocked bars, each offering a range of handcrafted cocktails. The drink menu featured premium spirits from notable partners, including Código 1530, Grey Goose, and Veuve Clicquot. Among the evening’s standout drinks was the pink mezcal margarita, served in a skull-shaped glass with a spicy Tajín rim. The vibrant yellow spicy mango mezcal margarita was also flavorful, bursting with fresh mango and a subtle heat.
Views & Sky
While parts of the rooftop were partially enclosed, there were still plenty of open-air pockets offering stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. Whether you were sipping a cocktail by the bar or snapping a photo near the ledge, the energy of the city served as a backdrop to the event.
Overall, the space offered a charming and intimate atmosphere that, while relatively modest in size, felt lively and energetic thanks to the upbeat crowd and curated ambiance.
