When inviting guests to their Net Gala, an event honoring eco-friendly fashion, Save The Duck encouraged guests to come dressed in florals, vintage and pre-loved pieces, adhering to the Met Galaβs theme of βThe Garden of Time.βΒ
On May 2nd, their flagship store in SoHo was a sea of stunning colors and florals, with a red carpet outside of the store for guests to stop by and share the origin of the pieces they wore.
The theme matched the evening beautifully, with its celebration the passage of time encouraging guests to appreciate the beauty of sustainable fashions and the importance of preserving the environment.Β
Since its 2012 origin, Save The Duck has been a pioneer in the world of sustainability with their innovative approaches to cruelty free clothing. The brandβs core philosophy revolves around creating fashionable, functional outerwear without harming animals, completely omitting the use of animal-derived materials, such as down feathers, leather, and fur. Instead, they utilize advanced synthetic materials and eco-friendly fabrics to ensure their products are both ethical and high-performing.

The NET Gala was more than just a stylish soirΓ©e; it was a powerful statement about the future of fashion, showcasing that sustainability and style are not mutually exclusive. The brandβs commitment to education was brought forward by hosting fun interactive games that posed questions about the environment.
Attendees were given a passport (that they could later plant!) that encouraged them to “travel around Save The Duck while completing challenges at each station.”Β (How many flowers can you name in a minute? Try it yourself!) Winners walked away with gift cards to Save the Duck, vouchers for Le Botanisteβa plant-based restaurant, and subscriptions to Misfits Market, a service dedicated to reducing food waste by delivering surplus and imperfect produce.Β
The evening of networking and style was co-hosted by Marina Testino, known for her #OneDressToImpress campaign, where she wore the same dress for two months to promote sustainable fashion. Additionally, guests were treated to delicious plant-based bites from Le Botaniste.Β Β
