The tequila brand is continuing its 50th anniversary in collaboration with the 50 Years of Hip-Hop, with Big Daddy Kane alongside the Idea Generation Podcast.
Tres Generaciones® Tequila, in collaboration with Idea Generation, the podcast, celebrated 50 years of Hip Hop in addition to the 50th Anniversary of their tequila brand. The event occurred in Brooklyn, New York, the hometown of the iconic rapper Big Daddy Kane. The main event of the evening was the live interview conducted by Idea Generation Founder Noah Callahan-Bever with Big Daddy Kane. They discussed Big Daddy Kane’s legacy, how rap has evolved, his achievements in rap, some details of his upcoming Netflix documentary, and some untold stories during his career, like the creation of his record “I’ll Take You There.”
The conversation got candid when Noah asked the legendary rapper what is the feeling [of] knowing that nobody does anything better than you do. In a simple response, “I guess it’s understanding uniqueness,” Big Daddy Kane says frankly. Other cool staples of the night were a decked-out tequila bar with Tres Generaciones® specialty cocktails, a video booth for attendees to answer a video prompt of “What’s a piece of advice you’d give your younger self?” sounds by DJ Drewski, and DJ Perly, playing old school classics to set the mood, and nice lite bites for guests to enjoy.
