It was night to sing about!
On November 13, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation held the 56th Annual Broadway’s Got Guts! at Cipriani South Street. The moment was filled with incredible food, phenomenal music, and speeches that both moved the audience and inspired the room.
A magical evening brought together supporters who came together in unity to express their passionate backing of the leading non-profit dedicated to curing Crohn’s disease. Over $724K was raised with the amount expected to grow in upcoming days.
The festive affair started off with a delicious showcase of dishes from renowned New York restaurants including Le CouCou, Legasea Bar & Grill, Lure Fishbar, Oxomoco, Pecking House, Planta, Soledad, Tribeca Grill, and ZouZou’s. Following was a delightful dinner that brought to the stage grand performances from Broadway sensations Analise Scarpaci, Andy Karl & Orfeh, James Moye, Mamie Parris, Miguel Cervantes, and Yasmeen Sulieman.
Dr. Adam Steinlauf of Mount Sinai Health System was honored with the Rosenthal Humanitarian Award 17-year-old ulcerative colitis patient Michele Kanaan received the Rising Star Award.
Without nights like this the fantastic level of education and shared knowledge in the community would not be the same. The work of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation as the leading non-profit dedicated to curing Crohn’s disease is crucial to a brighter future. Since 1967, the organization has spearheaded every significant IBD research breakthrough. Serving millions nationwide, the Foundation has invested more than $500 million into research, maintaining an 80% direct mission support rate. The gala over the years has contributed over $40M to the cause.
