Leading up to the premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Top Shelf Getaways celebrated by dedicating the weekend to Wakanda.

The Wakanda Forever weekend festivities led by actor and founder of Top Shelf Getaways Ser’Darius Blain kicked off at the luxurious W Hollywood hotel with an evening of excellence. Guests wore all black in honor of the late Chadwick Boseman. The celebratory evening was filled with live music, magic, spoken word and an open bar including El Cristiano luxury tequila. Attendees were able to dine on delicious hors d’oeuvres while they enjoyed the hilarious comedy set from comedian Skeet Carter. NAACP and Emmy award winning actress Loretta Devine was honored for her successful career in entertainment and being the pilar of Black excellence. Devine joked that when she met Blain on set for an upcoming film, he thought she would be playing his mother but instead he would be playing her boyfriend. The Waiting to Exhale actress laughed at their playful moment and graciously accepted her honor. Immediately following the kickoff party guests were ushered into private shuttles as they headed to the famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood to screen the highly anticipated Black Panther sequel.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever scored this year’s 2nd best opening with $180 million and was the biggest ever for the month of November dethroning The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Following the screening of the film the Wakanda Forever weekend party continued at Revel Lounge where guests enjoyed bottomless drinks in the Top Shelf Getaways private VIP section. The fun didn’t stop there, the following morning attendees enjoyed a private chef curated poolside brunch along with an El Cristiano sponsored pool party at the W Hotel making for the perfect conclusion of the Wakanda Forever weekend.
