Quality, quality, quality, the three ingridients necessary in producuing great tequila according to the founders of El Cristiano.
Continued from part one, “Founders of El Cristiano Tequila Take Guests on an Immersive 3-Day Trip to the Home of Tequila in Jalisco, Mexico” the founders of El Cristiano 1761 invited an exclusive group to the heart of tequila, Jalisco, Mexico to immerse ourselves in the culture and gain a better understanding of how the brand incorporated purpose and passion into creating perfection.
On the second day in Guadalajara, attendees of the experience were invited to Casa Tequilera de Arandas where the magic of El Cristiano is made. “It’s the first time I see true magic in a tequila, true community,” founder Christian Navarro stated. While the passion for their product was discussed, it wasn’t necessary because it was visible and felt by the guests. El Cristiano is quite literally comprised of family and an intimate group of friends driven to create the most delicious tequila possible. The Aceves brothers including Jose, Cesar, and Albero have combined three generations of expertise with deep academic and field experience producing award winning ultra-premium tequilas. The brothers are the authorities in the agave selection and production of additive free Highlands Tequila for El Cristiano.
We were guided through the distillery where we learned about each step in making tequila, starting out with tasting the agave that would later become liquor to consume. The precision and attention to detail was noted by all as well as the warm working environment for employees. “We make sure our employees are happy and attend to their needs. We understand that they have lives outside of work and families, so we do our best to accommodate their needs,” Karan Khanna mentioned. Once we were informed how to properly make tequila, it was only right we learned how to properly consume it. Jose Aceves talked us through a tequila tasting where we tried each of the foundation varietals collection including the Silver, Reposado and Añejo. We later visited Casa Hogar Portal de Belen del Nino Jesus Arandas Jalisco, an orphanage in which El Cristiano works with. El Cristiano has become a part of the community and therefore gives back anytime they can. Khanna announced a surprise donation of $12,000 to the orphanage as the children celebrated and mingled with the group; truly a heartfelt moment.
The final day of El Cristiano’s #FIRSTFLIGHT experience was dedicated to celebrating Mexican culture. Attendees arrived at Casa Sauza to a warm welcome from a mariachi band and greeters offering Mexican flags, balloons and refreshing beverages. Guests enjoyed a private lunch and show which included Mexican dances (Jarabe Tapatío, Concheros, Aztec fire dance, machete dance), a performance by a mariachi band, horse show (charro riding) and an epic dance party. El Cristiano is not only a tequila brand, it represents tradition, family, purpose but of course, quality tequila.
