This past weekend, on Sunday, August 29th, Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whisky reunited friends and communities together with Buchanan’s La Reunión, a pop-up market experience that celebrates the vibrancy of local Hispanic culture while giving back to the neighborhoods that need it most.
The event was hosted at City Libre, a swanky outdoor venue in the Arts District of Los Angeles. It brought together local Hispanic businesses – from retail to pottery to nail art – to celebrate the many traditions that make each community so unique. There was a nail art bar provided by Nailart Fairy, where guests could get the custom-made nail design of their dreams. Beats were pumping and guests were dancing the entire time thanks to DJ’s Al Tun Tun!
There was also a great deal of food and drink, such as Churros Los Angeles, Mexichic Crafts, El Guero Tacos, Kindy Sweets Mexican candy, and of course, Buchanan’s whisky!
Another fun thing the event featured were retail boutiques. Guests could shop around or browse at the different vendors featured, such as Glamlindo Artesania, which sells clothes, accessories, jewelry, and purses that all contribute to helping families in Mexico. You can follow Glamlindo Artesania at @glamlindo_artesania on Instagram.
Thank you to Buchanan’s Scotch Whisky for the fab Block Party Experience. Local meal donations were made to LA’s food-insecure communities through No Us Without You
