SHOWTEK – UNA MAMACITA FT. BELINDA & NACHO [UNIVERSAL]
Revered Dutch DJ/producers Showtek is making their highly-anticipated return to the release radar with ‘Una Mamacita’, a new collaborative Latin-inspired track featuring the vocal talents of Mexican superstar Belinda and Venezuelan singer/songwriter Nacho. The latest to come from Showtek is audibly a slight pivot from the norm for the pair. Exchanging hefty bass drops for more refined pop-leaning electronic dance music, this song is an exciting precedent for what’s to come musically from the duo in the near future.
ALISON WONDERLAND & VALENTINO KHAN – ANYTHING [MAD DECENT]
Although their respective styles were raised by the influence of different cultures, the shared synchronicity between Alison Wonderland and Valentino Khan is palpable. A luminous triumph, “Anything” is a marriage between dance-floor ready house music and electronic pop. Where two styles seamlessly collide, “Anything” is textured and layered with a four-on-the-floor beat and a feminine prowess courtesy of Alison Wonderland’s captivating vocal work.
MAKO – OCELOT [ULTRA MUSIC]
Mako returns with another intriguing offering ‘Ocelot’, an indie-dance track with pop sensibilities that continues to paint a vivid picture of what is to come on the esteemed musician’s forthcoming sophomore album, Fable. The high-octane record opens with a stunningly memorable acoustic guitar riff propelled by a catchy soundscape of handclaps and percussion over which Mako’s emotively saccharine vocal effortlessly glides, as the track builds with a driving four-on-the-floor rhythm into an electro-pop anthem.
PINES – TELL ME (ALIGN REMIX)
[PALM TREE RECORDS]
A beautiful, uplifting tune, ALIGN shines in his take on PINES‘ hit single “Tell Me.” Twinkling synths set the stage early on as ALIGN quickly pulls listeners into sweet serenity. Keeping time with a powerful kick, ALIGN crafts a wondrous melody atop a stirring backsound. Full-bodied and full of tropical house flare, ALIGN’s re-imagination of PINES’ hit single “Tell Me” is a powerful standout on Palm Tree Records’ Dreamcycle Remixed. With more new music to follow before the year wraps up, ALIGN is one to watch. Stay tuned.
MOODSHIFT – WHAT ABOUT MY LOVE [UNIVERSAL]
Moodshift is back with ‘What About My Love’, the hotly-anticipated follow-up to their August-released debut single ‘Chemistry’’. Overall, the light-hearted, yet relentless four-on-the-floor energy effortlessly propels the song into another realm all of its own. A feelgood romp from start to finish, the highly-anticipated follow-up from Moodshift is sure to be a certified dancefloor filler, primed for those long nights out post-lockdown.
ISSY WOOD – CRY / FUN [ZELIG RECORDS]
U.K. visual and musical artist Issy Wood makes an impressionable debut on Mark Ronson’s Zelig Records. With “CRY / FUN” the longtime painter explores the idea of balancing pleasure and pain, the desire to free oneself while also feeling compelled by the trap you find yourself within. The track arrives alongside a stop-frame animation music video created by Stuart Middleton, and depicts a lab animal with a “taste for pain”. “CRY / FUN” is the first track off Wood’s forthcoming EP, Cries Real Tears – out Dec. 4th.
DAVID GUETTA x MORTEN – SAVE MY LIFE [MUSICAL FREEDOM]
In the spirit of further pushing their branded “Future Rave” sound and style to the masses, David Guetta and MORTEN accumulated over 100 million streams worldwide together. Possessing a concept to merge the anthems of the mainstage with a darker and club ready presence, the two recommence their unstoppable tear of music with “Save My Life.” Featuring the vocal prowess of singer/songwriter Lovespeake, the Norwegian lends his talents that boasts an undeniably catchy and unwavering topline that ultimately shotguns the track into its pristine form.
