Kevin Hart proved to be a quarantine entertainment lifeline when he launched his brand new game show “Celebrity Game Face.” The show, hosted by Hart, features fun and exciting challenges all done from home alongside other celebs. We had an exclusive interview with Michael Canter, Executive Producer of the fun-filled show. Check it out below!

The Knockturnal: Can you tell us a little about the show and it’s competitions?

Michael Canter: Celebrity Game Face is a party. It’s the funniest game night you’ve ever seen… and Kevin Hart’s sense of fun and playfulness is there to lead the way. Each episode contains six games that let us get to know our celebrities at the same time we’re laughing with them. Through our games, secrets are revealed, messes are made and many many laugh-out-loud moments are had by all.

The Knockturnal: What is it like producing a show like this all from home? Is it strange navigating stuff like this in the new world?

Michael Canter: This is one of those shows that is a blast to produce because I get to work and laugh at the same time. It is strange producing shows in the time of Covid. Instead of doing this on a stage with the crew, I’m at home on zoom.  (and the craft service table at home sucks.)

The Knockturnal: Which of the games played on the show is your favorite? Why do you like it?

Michael Canter: My favorite game is definitely “hit ‘em up.” it’s where the celebrities call friends or family and secretly try to get them to say funny words. I love how it extends the world of the show beyond the celebrities’ homes and gives us a hilarious look at them as relatable people. I still laugh thinking about Joel McHale trying to get his mom to say “orgasm.”

The Knockturnal: Are there any particular episodes or moments that you are most excited for viewers to see?

Michael Canter: There are so many great moments but watching Niecy Nash try to talk with a mouthful of donut holes is…amazing!

The Knockturnal: What is it like working with such a fun and lively cast? Who do you think had the most fun during their episodes?

Michael Canter: One of the things I hear most from people who have seen the show it that they love how much fun the cast is having. That is all real. We keep the camera rolling during the commercial breaks because they’re all still chatting and laughing. That tone is set by Kevin – it’s his party.

The Knockturnal: Which game do you think was most challenging for participants? Least challenging?

Michael Canter: Well, we do have a game where the teammate’s race to feed each other using these tiny doll hands. It’s hard to be classy when you’re stuffing your face with spaghetti. As for an easy game, they really seem to like the game called “whodunnit,” where a secret is revealed and the celebs have to guess who that secret is about. It’s easy to play but funny and revealing at the same time… which is exactly what we like about “Celebrity Game Face.”

Check out the all-new episodes of “Celebrity Game Face,” on Thursday’s at 10 pm ET/PT on E!
