On Tuesday, The Knockturnal had the opportunity to celebrate Julie Mintz on the release of her new single and Retreat Magazine cover.
Julie Mintz is an upcoming singer/songwriter. Born in Texas, the artist came to Los Angeles to pursue her career in music. Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills was the perfect setting to capture the sweet elegance of Mintz’s music video release for her newest single, “Purple Rain/ Million Reasons.” The song features an iconic mashup of Prince and Lady Gaga with the warm and fluid voice of Mintz. As the lights dimmed, Mintz gave a sweet speech thanking everyone for making it out and supporting her career. Throughout the night, people sipped on their Purple Rain specialty cocktails, flipped through Retreat’s September 2019 issue, and mingled with others all while enjoying Mintz’s music.
Julie Mintz shared on the single, “I thought this would be an interesting way to bring together two artists that I love and give people a chance to be introduced to my music and hear my take on it.”
