The recently opened sushi & ramen spot owned by famed Japanese sushi chef, Yukinari Yamamoto, is simply delightful. From the modern yet authentic Japanese decor and vibe to the flavorful and fresh sushi and ramen. This is by far my new favorite sushi spot.
For starters, we ordered Crunchy Spicy Tuna Rolls and Teriyaki Chicken. Both menu items were amazing! The tuna rolls were the best I ever had. Perfect combination of moist crunchiness. The teriyaki chicken was seasoned just right and paired well with the rice and salad.
Next up was the standout dish of the night, the Real Dragon Roll. I’ll be honest, I didn’t know what to expect when ordering this but I’m glad I did. It was brought out in a huge plate that added perfectly to the aesthetic of the California roll with whole eel. It tasted just as good as it looked!
To close out the night, we ordered Seafood Ramen (Chicken Based Soup with our Original Soy Sauce Green Mussel, Mixed Seafood, Cabbage, Carrots, Bean sprouts and string red pepper.) In my opinion the best ramen in LA.
And just for good measure, Mochi dessert served as the nightcap.
All in all, great food and vibe! Oh and they validate parking for 2 hours. All bases covered here at Totoyama Sushi & Ramen.
