We had a blast at the “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation” premiere.
Spotted in the perfect summer dress Selena Gomez was all smiles at the premiere of Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation in Westwood, Los Angeles on Saturday, June 30. Selena looked stunning as she wore an Oscar de la Renta crop top and skirt alongside accessorizing with a Tiffany & Co. platinum diamond hoop earrings and a Tiffany & Co. diamond cross necklace, which was recognized as the same necklace she rocked at the Met Gala.
The third installation of the monster-filled film was attended by some of the cast such as; Andy Samberg, Kathryn Hahn, David Spade, Genndy Tartakovsky, and Molly Shannon. “They are such a sweet group, they are all the best group of humans,” said Hahn about joining the cast. The Hotel Transylvania movies differ from most animations as it is one of the few stories that show the progression of the characters in a linear timeline. When we first met Mavis, she had just recently fallen in love with the very human Johnny. Now, we see her as not only a mother to Dennis but a wife to Johnny. “The secret weapon to these is Genndy, this is better because of him,” said Samberg on the films’ success.
We asked the director Tartakovsky about the message of the film. “Family is about love and acceptance. This film has a little bit of that for everyone,” he said. The film premiere had a small “pre-party” for the many excited children in attendance where they were able to enjoy unlimited snow cones, pizza and more! It was all smiles as the kids got to meet Mavis and Dracula in real life and take pictures with them.
It should be noted that just a few streets away was the “Keep Families Together” event, where thousands appeared in order to fight against the separation of kids from parents occurring throughout our borders. Chrissy Teigen, who lent her voice to the film, was missing from the carpet as she opted to attend the rally. “I am so grateful that I am here with my family, but how horrifying is what’s happening in our country right now?” said Hahn about the current political climate.
Nevertheless, movies like this are a constant reminder of the importance behind a united family. It’s families together doing something as simplistic as watching a film that serves as a catalyst for change. “Making a movie for families and kids can only help, the more we reinforce those values, it;s better for everyone,” said Samberg. Some other noticeable stars in attendance of the premiere were Amber Rose, Tori Spelling, Kendra Wilkinson, Elisabeth Rosen, Jodie Sweetin, and Steve Howey.
