A collar with G-Star RAW wasn’t enough for Pharrell. He is now a proud co-owner.
On Tuesday, Pharrell Williams posted an image on Instagram in which he is standing on a piles of denim, whic announced the big news: “On top of my business. As of today, proud to be a co-owner of @GSTARRAW.”
Pharrell stated that “G-Star is an independently minded and forward thinking company. I believe they will be the definitive jeans of the 21st century. I am looking forward to being part of that mission and to co-create G-Star’s future…”
G-Star is also as excited as Mr. Williams putting the big news on their main website. Pharrell will “be immersed in the company on many creative levels, from collections, to advertising and business strategy.”
This actually will not be Pharrell’s first time working with G-Star Raw. They did a collaboration which included denim garments made using plastic removed from the oceans. They created a game in order to create awareness for sustainability stating on the Raw for the Ocean website that “We aim to raise awareness. No-one who has played this game will ever throw a plastic bottle in the ocean again.”
Not only is he a musician and a producer, but he is also the designer of his own collection Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream. It appears that Pharrell wants to do it all.
