Beauty and wellness are often hand in hand because taking care of yourself is a huge part of feeling beautiful. As we move towards a post-pandemic world, conversations about how we take of ourselves have come up more and more every day. It’s nice to see most people agree that self-care and wellness need to be prioritized as a collective.
Here are some of the products I’ve been using and loving as I work on prioritizing self-care and my well-being.
Earlier this summer, I had the privilege of trying out Esas Beauty’s first product, Kolonya, and have not been able to stop singing its praises. Kolonya is a 4-1 rinse-free hand cleanser that moisturizes, hydrates, refreshes, and leaves a fresh scent after use. Inspired by 200-year-old Turkishtraditions of hospitality where scented rose water is sprinkled into guests’ hands as they entered homes. I, like many others, have been very conscious about keeping hand sanitizer on my person and offering it to share with others, but Koloyna is way more than a hand sanitizer. Unlike most sanitizers, with constant use throughout the day, Kolonya has not once left my hands dry. Being that we all should be washing and sanitizing our hands a lot more these days, using a product that’s not drying isn’t filled with glitter or harsh scents that cover up the fact that it’s not really sanitizing is vital.

White teeth are typically the marker of a great smile, but people have become more cautious of the harsh chemicals in dental care and teeth whitening products. While the David’s Premium toothpaste comes in four flavors, I find that the charcoal+peppermint effectively removes stains and keeps my teeth whiter. David’s toothpaste is vegan, leaping bunny certified, and fluoride-free. I’ve also been noticing that my mouth feels super fresh after using. Sometimes, when using “natural” toothpaste, I’m worried it might not work without the minty fresh feeling, but David’s definitely leaves a fresh feeling and has my smile gleaming.
