No matter how many years pass there are certain things that always need to be remembered.

Elizabeth Pipko just announced the launch of the Lest People Forget Project, a one-of-its-kind offering to include the world in the modernization of Holocaust education. The first goal of this new venture is to preserve the history of the Holocaust by using decentralized technology to allow otherwise unconnected individuals to help to preserve history, share it, and prevent it from ever repeating.

As a digital platform it serves as one of the only unique opportunities to collectively combine Holocaust materials and protect the content from ever being altered or destroyed. Our hope is that users from around the world will collaborate with each other to complement the content of the platform, share the information, and expand its reach.

“This launch of the Lest People Forget project before International Holocaust Remembrance Day (Friday, Jan. 27), was chosen to encourage the world to come together, commemorate the loss of 6 million Jews, and begin a movement that inspires more people from around the world to fight to protect and share this history,” said the founder.

With advancements in modern technology offering a new path forward in the fight against antisemitism and Holocaust denial, the Lest People Forget project aims to utilize these innovations to help remind the world of the horror that took place less than 80 years ago. The Lest People Forget project will be collecting letters from concentration camps, photographs, documentation, and testimony, which people can submit onto our platform.

The goal of this project is to encourage and inspire young people to take action and be proactive in order to keep the efforts of those who came before them from being in vain.

“When over 60% of millennials and Gen Z in the United States do not know that 6 million Jews were murdered during the Holocaust, we know that we have failed,” Pipko said. “I am hoping that with the help of this project, those from younger generations will take it upon themselves to get involved, come together, and ultimately lead the way in the fight to preserve this history.”

In 2022, antisemitism and Holocaust denial were taken to new extremes as Ye (formerly Kanye) West.In response to these horrific statements, the Lest People Forget project will also be accessible by visiting EducateYe.com or EducateKanye.com.
The mission of this new launch is to engage the world in the preservation of this history and knowledge, we are providing a platform for all individuals to get involved in three  different ways: Users may submit their own stories and materials to be shared with the world; users may also help the project by supporting the life of the decentralized domain to make sure that it remains long after we’re gone. (LestPeopleForget.eth); and they can utilize the proper software to ensure that these documents and materials are stored on their computers and those of others so that they can be learned from and preserved using IPFS technology.

More information about this is available on the “get involved” tab on the Lest People Forget project website. With Holocaust Remembrance Day just around the corner, the Lest People Forget project aims to serve as the platform that will unite people of all generations to engage, together, in the fight to preserve this history.

The Lest People Forget project is launching with a small collection of items already on display. We now invite everyone to contribute to this project in any way most suitable for them.
