On January 22, at Proper West, a silky lustrous sports bar in Midtown, New York, the models and managers of true model management were out celebrating all things fashionable. With New Years right behind, and New York Fashion Week, pilot season (a season for new T.V. shows) and super bowl season around the corner, NOW would be the best time to take a breather, meet, and mingle with the other models and managers before taking the industry by storm. This “Second Annual Winter Warm Up” was truly an understatement and more than an energizing pep rally.
The Proper West was the perfect place to have the Second Annual Winter Warm-up. Not only because it was the beginning of the 2016 blizzard, but because this low lit vintage bar was a warm cozy little piece of paradise. With wine and delicious hors d’oeuvres going around, the atmosphere definitely made everyone feel like a star. The Ceilings were high, and upon entering you had to strike a pose on the red carpet. Above the vintage streetlights, and pictures, were the beautiful faux trees on display in the VIP balcony section, as the flat screens projected #truecares, deeper in the Proper. Beside the normal ebb and flow of Fashion week, and an additional year in business, True IS TOASTING two of their models who recently booked Ashley Stewart jobs. Thus reinforcing their versatility, and guidance mastery.
The night ended with a smooth pop, hip-hop DJ set, after a thousand dollar make up kit raffle and every one spinning a wheel to win either discounted or free salon services. Amongst their inspiring instagram quotes to do things like “embrace your beautiful curvy body” and congratulate client bookings. TRUE would love to open their services to all models even if TRUE personnel are not representing them.
