Tretorn recently collaborated with 50 big name artists including Andre 3000, The Shoe Surgeon, Jeff Staple and UR New York to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Nylite shoe. Each artist designed their own custom Nylite that can now be purchased to own. The proceeds from each shoe sold will be donated to benefit emerging artists at Art Start.
Art Start is the organization connecting New York City youth to the art world for about 25 years now. It works closely with youth agencies to provide consistent workshops to children in homeless shelters, with court cases or who are living in crisis to foster their creativity and prevent the possibility of incarceration in the future.
The campaign will run from October 30-November 8 via ebay.com/Tretorn. There are a variety of different shoes available for women and men in a range of different sizes. If you are attending ComplexCon this weekend, you will be able to see the shoes in person at Tretorn’s booth.
