The Rally Museum is Wall Street meets the MoMa
Rally is an online platform that allows users to buy and sell equity shares in collectible items. This week, Rally is opening its first-ever museum at 466 Broadway. The opening was a packed event with music, food, and many unique items.
After entering through the doorway, guests are immediately greeted by a giant triceratops skull. Inside there are items from classic cars, to comic books, to Rolex watches. Some especially fascinating items in the collection were a rare box of girl scout cookies, a first-edition Harry Potter novel, and a Vince Lombardi Super Bowl Trophy. The guests were fortunate to hear mixes by Vashtie Kola, who was DJ of the event.
Rob Petrozzo, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Rally was eager to speak about the museum launch.
We’re trying to make it where the museum, here, is the only one on Earth where you can own everything inside. If you see a dinosaur, you read about it, you hear about it, you fall in love with it, you can own equity in that too. For twenty bucks you can leave with a share and now you own it. Then you can come back and see the dinosaur you own. That’s the big difference.
It’s a permanent space. We’re going to have this first set of items for probably a month or so, by September we’ll have a whole new setup, a bunch of new cars, and we’re doing way more activation of the space. Every weekend we’ll have something going on here.
The Rally Museum is a fun and unique addition to the SoHo area and it is exciting to see what they have next in store.
