HOKA ONE ONE Sneakers
Once you go Hoka One One (pronounced ho-kah oh-nay oh-nay), you may never wear another sneaker again! I had been looking for a light and comfortable running and walking sneaker. My friend who does a lot of outdoor running and hiking on hills, posted about the brand on social media. Apparently Hoka One One’s are all the rage and I am very late to the party. I contacted the brand to see if I could try a pair for myself! They sent me the Clifton 8’s. They come in some awesome colors like: Aquarelle / Eggshell Blue, classic Black / White, Cantaloupe / Silver Peony and my favorite: Outer Space / Atlantis. The sneakers are incredibly light and comfortable. They slip on easily. I especially love to use them on the treadmill. They absorb impact so well. You feel like you are running on clouds. The inside of the sneakers are extremely soft and comfortable, but your feet feel completely supported. Their new midsole compound offers one of their lightest, most energetic foams to date. The sneaker’s top features include: Breathable mesh upper, a Gusseted tongue, EVA foam, Early stage Meta-Rocker, Extended pull tab, High-abrasion rubber and flat-waisted geometry. Pippa Middleton, Reese Witherspoon, Winnie Harlow, Julianne Hough are celebrity fans of the brand, which is also recommended by podiatrists! The sneaker currently retails for $130.
Brooks Running New Drive Run Bra Collection
I wear a 36 DDD Bra day to day. As someone who has a larger bust size, I have struggled to find a supportive sports bra, until now! While researching this story, I came across Brooks new run bra collection. I reached out to the brand and they sent me two of their styles to try. I was interested in bras that would support high impact workouts like running and jumping. Brooks worked closely with the Research Group in Breast Health at the University of Portsmouth to study the biomechanics of breast movement while running. Using those insights, they created a comfortable running bra for every woman. My favorite bra was the Drive Convertible Run Bra ($55). I was sent a 36 E, which fit me perfectly. I felt completely supported and snug. While running on the treadmill and jumping rope, my chest stayed in place and felt no strain or pain at all, which is sometimes the case with other bras. I highly highly recommend this line. The bra has sweat-wicking, quick-drying DriLayer® HorsePower fabric, smooth edges and minimal seams reduce chafing and offer distraction-free comfort with modern style, strategically placed mesh paneling for ventilation, adjustable back closure for easy on and off; adjustable straps enhance fit and a brushed bottom band for flexible movement. Care is pretty easy for the bra. I fastened all hooks and straps, placed in a lingerie bag, and used the gentle or delicate cycle. Always line dry.
I also got to try out the Drive Interlace Run Bra in 36 DD/E and it was also excellent. It boasts more straps and support on the back. It moves with your body in a lightweight, breathable bra designed for ventilation and comfort on the run.
