The psychological thriller, The Intruder sent audiences on a roller coaster of emotions when it hit theaters earlier this year and now viewers will get a chance to jump out of their seats in the comfort of their own home!
The film tells the story of a young married couple [Michael Ealy and Meagan Good] that buy the perfect house in Napa Valley as they excitedly plan to start a family. However, the bizarre seller of the house [Dennis Quaid] takes attachment to a whole other level as he refuses to move on. Things take a dark turn as the obsessed seller continues to infiltrate their lives. ABC TV’s Mark S. Allen calls it, “one of the best suspense thrillers ever!” And now fans and viewers get a chance to watch it again as The Intruder is now out on Blu-ray and digital and will include a shocking alternate ending, cast and filmmaker commentary, plus deleted scenes.

To celebrate the film’s digital release, an intimate group headed to the Rosenthal Malibu Estate Vineyard in Malibu, California. Seeing as the film took place in Napa Valley, it was only right that we honored the film by taking a tour of the majestic, 250-acre private owned vineyard. We then proceeded to the wine tasting room to sample a variety of wines including cabernet, merlots and hand selected Surfrider wines which are made up of the best grapes from around California. While sipping on the delicious blends of amazing wine and enjoying our lunch, we got an exclusive sit down with director of the film, Deon Taylor. Taylor gave us insight as to how he formed the star-studded cast, finding the “dream” house and all the nuisances that go with making an independent film. “The Intruder opened the same day as the biggest movie in cinematic history, Marvel’s Avengers End Game and not only did we open #2 in the country to End Game, we also broke the record for second week holds,” Taylor proudly explained. The 3-million-dollar independent film surpassed 30 million in the box office to which Taylor credits sacrifice and staying in prayer.
