From the studio that made Frozen, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has released the trailer for their newest film this fall, The Good Dinosaur.
The film begs the question: What if the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs missed the planet completely and the giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes us with them on an epic journey into the world where dinosaurs lived in the same era as humans. Apatosaurus named Arlo, voiced by Raymond Ochoa, makes an unexpected human friend. While traveling and exploring through a large and unknown landscape, Arlo learns to confront his fears and discovers what he is capable of.
The film includes some unexpected elements such as the personification of the dinosaurs while the human boy does not speak.
Jeffrey Wright, Steve Zahn, AJ Buckley, Anna Paquin, Sam Elliott, Frances McDormand, Marcus Scribner and Jack Bright lend their voices to the project. Directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Denise Ream from Cars 2, Disney’s Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur opens in theaters on Thanksgiving Eve, November 25, 2015.
New short “Sanjay’s Super Team,” will precede the film. Accomplished artist Sanjay Patel uses his own experience to tell the story of a young, first-generation Indian-American boy whose love for western pop culture comes into conflict with his father’s traditions. Sanjay is absorbed in the world of cartoons and comics, while his father tries to draw him into the traditions of his Hindu practice. Tedium and reluctance quickly turn into an awe-inspiring adventure as the boy embarks on a journey he never imagined, returning with a new perspective that they can both embrace.
