Coconut water brand Vita Coco and Captain Morgan have recently teamed up to bring the Caribbean to store shelves nationwide. As part of a multi-city βTropical Takeover Tourβ in celebration of Vita Coco Spiked with Captain Morgan, Jamaican rapper Sean Paul gave an exclusive performance at The Grand in Boston on Sept. 14.
The Grand was transformed into a tropical paradise with everything from palm trees and hammocks to signature Captain Morgan mixed drinks. The good vibes got even better when Paul took the stage to perform his top hits, including Siaβs βNo Lie,β Clean Banditβs βRockabye,β and of course, βTemperature.β
Noteworthy guests of the night included 106 and Park host, Free.
Paul expressed his excitement regarding his partnership with the brands earlier this year in an exclusive interview with The Knockturnal. βIn Jamaica we have a culture ofΒ rum tasting and drinking and when we do beach parties we usually put coconut water in our rum so itβs a perfect match for me,β the rapper said in June. βI love how it tastes.β
And Paul is rightβthis collab is so good that it will make you want to shake that thing. Made with real coconut water and Caribbean Rum, Vita Coco Spiked with Captain Morgan canned cocktails are available in three flavors: PiΓ±a Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri and Lime Mojito.

6-28-23- As we are midway through the wild ride we call an NYC summer, things have been ramping up as of recently and really taking on a life of its own.Β
Β Β One event in particular in reference would be the Tropical Takeover Tour- sponsored by Vita Coco and Captain Morgan and Headlined by current worldwide sensation Chinsea Linda Lee otherwise known as Shenseea.Β
Β Β From the doors, those who had the pleasure of attending were immediately greeted with an island vibe that could not be described.Β
Β Β As you enter, the plants and lights that greet you seem as they are growing through the ceiling.Β
Β Β From drinks to food- Captain Morgan and Vita Coco did not miss a beat. The drinks were based on the tropical theme and it seemed as if everyone was drinking the Jamaican Rum Punch as the distinctive red liquid seemed to be in everyoneβs cup.Β
Β Β As if the drinks werenβt enough, the food had those in attendance in a frenzy as people were lined up all throughout the venue.Β
Β Β By the Shenseea hit the stage- fans were more than ready.Β
Β Β As the lights dimmed, you heard her distinctive voice before you saw her. And upon arrival Shenseea did not disappoint.Β
Β Β The energy was electric from the beginning, as Shenseea did everything from free-styling to performing her biggest hits.Β
Β Β From the critically acclaimed βLightersβ to her newest single βCuriousβ- fans were not starved for much, as she did not disappoint in any fashion.
Β Β One of the more notable things was how Shenseea went out of her way to uplift all the women in attendance, reminding them the importance of an independent mindset.Β
Β Β The highlight of the night was the dancing contest that Shenseea chose to host on stage.
Β Β Three contestants had the opportunity to not only dance with Shenseea but the winner actually performed her closing song with her.Β
Β Β As the concert came to a close, it was clear that the bond Shenseea was developing with her fans might still be growing, but is extremely strong.Β
