An Epic Livetronica Evening at Brooklyn Mirage with Sector 9! Sector 9 delivered an amazing collective (part DJ set, part live performance) at the Brooklyn Mirage for their Apo11o tour, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. Brooklyn Mirage was the perfect backdrop for the space exploration themed event. They were joined by the very talented and unique: Orchard Lounge, Cut Chemist and Mark Farina. With each new set the night manifested into a deeper and trippier experience. An eclectic crowd mused from room to room vibing on the livetronic beats until the early morning.

Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness, joined forces with Zumba Fitness in NYC on – World Mental Health Day – to encourage everyone around the world to take 10-15 minutes out of their busy day for a mental and physical break – a Zumba Break! Stand up, move and smile! The New York Times Best Selling Author made a surprise appearance at a Zumba class to reinforce the importance of creating balance and taking a moment during their busy workday to shake off the tension and pressure.
MAXIM Magazine returned to Los Angeles to celebrate the official release of their September/ October issue hosted by cover model Vita Sidorkina at sbe hotspot Nightingale on Saturday, September 28, 2019. MAXIM’s highly-anticipated unforgettable party experience drew in various notables including actress AnnaLynne McCord (wearing Mark Zunino), sbe nightlife’s Frankie Delgado (MTV’s The Hills), sbe nightlife’s Nick Montealegre, music artist SAINt JHN, actor Alex Landi (“Grey’s Anatomy”), actress Kallee Brookes (“Lucifer”), Lupe Fuentes (DJ/ Influencer), actress Luca Bella Facinelli, Olivia Pierson (Nat + Liv), Sophia Pierson (Nat + Liv), Nicole Williams English and Larry English, influencers Ghost, Nathalia Castellon, Nadia Gray, Jesse Montana, plus many more models, VIPs and industry influencers. DJ Jesse Marco kept the energy high providing the soundtrack for the night as partygoers sipped on 100 Coconuts Pure Coconut Water to stay hydrated. Nightingale just debuted a design refresh that builds upon the club’s 6,500-square-foot exclusive nightlife experience with creatively reconfigured lounge and dance spaces, featuring eclectic vignettes in deep jewel tones and metallics. New, more intimate seating groups in the lounges evoke the vintage ambiance of a comfortable living room. Chesterfield sofas, bold, graphic wallpaper, and densely decorated bookcases define the moodily lit spaces. Central to the main lounge is a large repurposed fireplace whose flames have been whimsically rendered in glowing neon.

The 7th Annual Headstrong Gala which took place at Pier Sixty in New York. Host Seth Meyers kicked off the event welcoming everyone and the importance of the evening. Before welcoming his friend and Headstrong Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board, Zach Iscol to the stage, Actor Jake Gyllenhaal noted his awe of watching the organization grow since year one, noting that the event went from 650 guests in 2018 to over 900 guests in 2019, and that it is a testament to all the hard work they are doing. During dinner guests were serenaded with the song “Journey to the Past” from the film ANASTASIA by Emmy Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated actress Liz Callaway who provided the singing voice for the titular role in the film. Callaway also began the evening singing the National Anthem. One of the honorees of the evening, retired U.S. Army Veteran Spencer Milo had the crowd on his feet after he re-proposed to his wife who had been with him through injuries and tours. He encouraged all the guests to support the organization and “stand up to the enemy that is mental health.” Facts were shared with the guests including that since the organization was founded in 2012, The Headstrong Project has provided over 40,000 therapy sessions to veterans, and 70% of the veterans who completed the program no longer meet the criteria for PTSD.

What a wonderful world of wonder this could be. The Advocate teamed up with the Beverly Center and queer-programming powerhouse World of Wonder to throw the most heart rending Pride event of the season. RuPaul’s Drag Race superstars Violet Chachki, Bob the Drag Queen, Ginger Minj and Kim Chi joined host Carson Kressley on a raunchy-for-the-mall panel about fame, the state of drag and mall food.
The GLAAD Media Awards celebrated 30 years of LGBTQ+ entertainment representation, advocacy, and acceptance.
In honor of their new collection of Ultra Puffer and Parka jackets, Abercrombie & Fitch threw a launch party in the William De Kooning Loft in NYC on October 18th. Partygoers enjoyed music from Rock Nation DJ, Ross One, got portraits taken by fashion photographer Micaiah Carter, and complementary jackets from A&F with customized embroidery as an option.
The event, just in time for winter, went on in three rooms each with mini appetizers awaiting guest. One room had the wine bar and couches, another mirror-filled room for the DJ, and the last room held the jacket and portrait areas which remained crowded for a majority of the night. Amongst the press and influencers, were Bobby Berk and Karamo Brown from “Queer Eye,” Australian actor Keiynan Lonsdale (Love, Simon), and more.
