Timberland Celebrates Hip Hop’s Big 50 with Lola Brooke, Kaytranada and More

by Chris K. Singh December 4, 2023
written by Chris K. Singh

11-17-23 For what feels like a lifetime, Timberland has been a staple within the New York music scene. Whether it be the shoe that has defined the city itself or the hand in hand work that the brand has done with countless artists of the past. Regardless of the context of reference, Timberland has played their part.
In recent times, things have not changed as they announced the Timberland STOOP – a mobile pop-up tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop and the Original Timberland® Boot – honoring and giving back the communities that have helped make the brand what it is today.
The event started off with a bang as the Greenpoint Terminal was excited to see hometown girl Lola Brooke hit the stage. Her set did not disappoint as her summer anthem with Bryson Tiller “You” was clearly a favorite of those in attendance.
Following Brooke was Long Island native Roc Marciano who dropped a project last year with legendary producer and artist The Alchemist called “The Elephant Man’s Bones”. Watching Marciano’s set it is abundantly clear that he is well on his way to establishing himself as one of the most consistent artists in the city.

One thing was clear mid-way thru the set list- each artist that was booked was quality and had a strong catalog and fan base to boot.
After Marciano’s set was over, fans had the pleasure of seeing Aminè- an artist out of Portland that has a huge catalog of mixtapes and projects that have made him successful over the years. His set was full of energy and if he was not someone you were familiar with you would at least find yourself vibing because of his hit friendly sound.
Closing off the event was none other than grammy award winning DJ Kaytranada- well known for his smooth and eclectic sound. If awards are not something that moves you, I assure you that his set would. Just a few songs into the set it was clear that he was a professional in his world of music. Those in attendance could not help but dance as he had the warehouse rocking.
Timberland has been a staple within the music community for generations- and if they continue to celebrate the artists and the community in this fashion it will be no surprise that they keep thriving the way they do.

by Bianca Alysse February 22, 2023
written by Bianca Alysse

INHERENT‘s mission as a brand extends beyond the calendar dates of New York Fashion Week (NYFW). “We began as a small online store in 2020 and soon grew into a flagship boutique storefront in Colorado Springs, CO, only a year later,” the company’s founder and designer, Taylor Draper, announced ahead of his latest runway presentation. The mogul has openly battled mental health issues, including depression, and aims to utilize his growing enterprises and collections to destigmatize the conversation around seeking therapy and wellness resources.

BERLIN FASHION WEEK: Sustainability, Space, and Rebellious Femininity Take Center Stage in Berlin

by Ben Schmidt September 29, 2022
written by Ben Schmidt

Over the years, German fashion has slowly shed its image of being a deadly serious affair, with its often-somber silhouettes and straight-laced academic ideas, to something that is far more cutting edge, fun, and organic in character; exploring the bounds of beauty, wearability, and approachability. Berlin Fashion Week is the culmination of these ideas, with a week of celebration and shows.

The Blonds Give New York Fashion Week The Grand Finale We Deserved

by Tony Bowles September 17, 2022
written by Tony Bowles

THE BLONDS latest collection is a tribute to the first summer they shared. Filled with escapism, glamour, and nightlife in New York City, all about excess style and memories of those hot nights where Phillipe and David bonded over their mutual love of dance music.

As THE BLONDS researched images for their first book, they recaptured the brand’s signature chain hardware treatment they have dressed everyone from JLo and Cardi B, to Sharon Stone, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga in.

Guests at Spring Studios on the last day of New York Fashion Week saw  THE BLONDS signature over-the-top looks with golden hardware and lots of Preciosa crystal, along with the second installment of a limited-edition collectible print collection based on an iconic archival piece that will be reimaged as ready-to-wear.

This collection leads up to the launch of their very first cocktail table book entitled “THE BLONDS: GLAMOUR FASHION FANTASY” published by Rizzoli. The Prints Collection, along with THE BLONDS new book are available to order on www.THEBLONDSNY.com  and wherever fine books are sold.
