On February 24, 2022, musicians, audio engineers, producers, music composers, broadcast technicians, live sound engineers, and integrators came together for an educational networking event: ‘Connections and Cocktails Pro Audio Event,’ by Synthax U.S. The event was held in Burbank at the DeBell Golf Club’s Hilltop Restaurant and Bar and was one of two stops in Southern California; the other took place on February 22 in Anaheim. The series is scheduled to make the rounds in Miami, with dates to be announced later this year.

Connections and Cocktails brought a fresh take to audio technology and gave attendees a sneak peak into some of the company’s newest offerings. Attendees were given the chance to indulge in some tasty food selections and an open bar, as well as live music that kept the party going the whole night long. The event also featured product demos and explainers, along with giveaways of professional-grade equipment and audio gear, valued at over $6,000.
Marie Sorenson, marketing manager for Synthax U.S., said this about the event:
“During a time when we aren’t meeting in large groups, Synthax U.S. saw the opportunity to gather in a more intimate setting while continuing to educate end users on all the potential the Synthax portfolio of brands has to offer. We are excited to connect with engineers, musicians, and producers across Southern California and share ideas with them on how they can get the most out of their gear, while also providing them with an opportunity to network with their peers.”

Some of the products featured at the event included selections from Digigram’s IQOYA line, RME’s AVB Tool and Babyface PRO FS, and many more. The highlight of the night, however, was FERROFISH’s newest launch: the A32pro Dante, a premier AD/DA converter that blows its successors out of the park. The converter offers expanded digital I/O (ADAT, MADI, Dante), an updated front panel and remote control, dual headphone outputs, GPIO, and additional redundancy and DSP expansion options.
