Svedka Hosts A Drag Queen Booze Bus To Unveil Their Newest Flavor

We love an open bar, but throw in drag queens and I am THERE

On July 11th, Svedka unveiled their newest flavor, Blue Raspberry vodka.  To celebrate this tasty and sweet new drink, Svedka threw a party on the ‘Queen of the Ride Booze Bus.’  The night started at Hardware Bar in Hell’s Kitchen where guests hung out at the bar and were able to sample the new flavor.  There weren’t any signature cocktails but this new flavor goes well with any traditional vodka mixer.  People seemed to gravitate towards vodka soda because this new flavor is more on the sweet side.  However, I love sweet drinks because I don’t want to taste the alcohol, so I opted for the classic vodka cranberry.  And it really worked!  As the night went on, it was eventually time to head to the bus.  The signature drink for this bus was a vodka lemonade type drink which was probably one of the smoothest drinks to go down that I have ever had.

This booze bus was something for the books.  It was essentially a tour bus that you would generally see around Times Square in New York, except this bus was hosted by a drag queen.  This bus is usually hosted on the weekends at night but essentially the theme of this bus is to go around midtown west and listen to commentary by a drag queen.  But, the real kicker which nobody expected was that at certain points in the night, we came across drag queens on the outside.  At first, they seemed like regular people that we just stumbled upon.  But, within seconds, they started to lip sync to the songs that were playing inside our bus.  They busted moves, did kicks, jumped into splits, twirled around, and it was all done on the busy streets of New York City.  People on the street had no idea what was going on, but people were intrigued.  These drag queens lip synced to iconic songs from ‘Dance With Somebody’ by Whitney Houston to ‘Purse First’ by Bob The Drag Queen.

With all of us getting drunk from these delicious drinks and seeing talented drag queens do their numbers, this drag queen booze bus was incredible.  If any of you are trying to plan a fun night out during the weekend but don’t want to subscribe to the traditional clubbing experience, then head over to the Queen of the Ride Booze Bus, and make sure you grab a bottle of Svedka’s Blue Raspberry flavor while you’re at it.
