This cozy bar really knew how to throw a fun party
On Wednesday, January 16th, Soho Cigar Bar hosted an event to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Formerly known as Circa Tabac, Soho Cigar Bar is one of the 10 bars in Manhattan where patrons and eat, drink, and smoke at their own leisure. To celebrate this anniversary, Soho Cigar Bar invited over 150 guests out to sip on cocktails and eat some delicious hors-d’oeuvres. What was also very cool was that there were people rolling up cigars in front of you, so you could see every step of the cigar making process.
The bar has a very rustic and vintage vibe to it, but is still very cozy and inviting. And throughout the night guests were able to unwind with some of the specialty cigars that were made onsite. What was even cooler was that during this even, Michael Dounoulis, one of the only certified Cigar Sommelier in NYC, was onhand to make guests some of his specialty drinks. The vibe of this event was nice. It was a small crowd, but one that new how to have fun. And each guest walked away with a gift bag filled with Soho Cigar Bar merchandise, ranging from ash trays and cutters, to commemorative lighters, in addition to Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey shot glasses, Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year Old Scotch Whisky, Frey freshener, a Madame Paulette stain removal kit and a copy of the newest issue of Cigar Aficionado magazine. If you are ever in the mood to hang out with good company and eat, smoke, AND drink, the Soho Cigar Bar is the place to go. Pairing quality cigars with specialty cocktails, there really isn’t a better place in Manhattan.
