The Skylark Roof Deck, NYC’s premiere event space and bar, opened its door’s last night with a kick off to summer celebration.
Invited guests previewed the bar’s summer cocktail menu with drink offerings like the Caramelized Pineapple Mojito made with Rum, caramelized pineapple puree, mint and lime juice. The Spring Fling was also a favorite made with cucumber vodka, St. Germain, lemon juice, muddled green grapes and basil.
Guests also had the opportunity to taste items from the menu like lobster rolls, chicken tacos, shrimp pizza, and avocado on toast.
You’ll work for your tequila getting to this swanky lounge. Upon entering the building there is a long corridor leading to the elevators that will take you to the 30th floor. You’ll think you’ve arrived but not quite yet – you’ll have to walk another corridor and climb two flights of stairs before getting to this roof deck, but once you catch your breath you’ll be glad you did.
While the cocktails brought us to The Skylark, the stunning panoramic views kept us indulged well into the evening. Located just south of Times Square, the views are some of the best we’ve seen and yes, we’re including the bar at 230 5th in our analysis. This roof top bar is open to the public Monday – Friday but closed for private events (it’s well known for weddings) during the weekends.
