Launched in 2013 the line is known for it’s use of exotic fabrics and fine materials. Details have always been imperative to the brand and this season was no exception. On Inspiration– The story is a nice day of skiing at St. Maurice. It’s a great day outside, cold, good air of the winter. Going to the chalet to get a hot chocolate or something like that just to get warm. So we didn’t want the hair to be too neat or too done. We want the hair as natural as possible. If the curl is there we will promote the curl and help create a little bit of movement. Say you just come back from skiing and you take off your top or your hat and what you see is what it is.
On the products used– We try to use as minimal as possible but we love our products from my line. We used paste, it’s very dry, matte finished and invisible. We use a bit of cream as well. The cream is actually very very soft, very very light. The idea is to control some of the frizz but definitely not to have the hair overdone. For some, we use a little bit of gel but we tried to stay away from the wet look because you know we want it to look as natural as possible.
On techniques used to achieve the looks– Well you see a lot of brushes but we’re not supposed to use it much. It’s really a finger situation, think simply fingers and the wind of a blow dryer that’s actually where we tried to focus mostly. Of course, you know when you take off your hat we like to create some lift when it comes to the roots. So you grab the hair up with your fingers to give it some body, more body and not too much volume.
Approaching spring 2017 season hair trends– You know really I’m inspired by what Brett Johnson has done. Sometimes the trend is no trend. When it comes to the hair itself, and I’m so happy about this, we are going back to some hair. All the guys have hair, mid-length and some longer.

On Inspiration– Well after a day of skiing you’re kind of wind burn and have a little bit of that color. So what we did was really nice clean skin, matte, with a natural tan, sun-kissed type look to the cheeks and cheekbones.
On the products used– We used Lab Series on all of the skin prep and skin care. For makeup, we used a bunch of different brands.
On achieving the look– First, we cleanse the face with a face scrub from Lab Series. Then we use their repair serum to prep the skin for putting something else on it. We followed that up with an eye balm. It was very simple, again very clean, very matte.
On skin care for men– I think men are becoming a lot more conscious of their skin and skincare and making a much more flawless finish.
