Roller Jam is the newest competition show to hit TV, and we’ve seldom seen a high-octane roller derby reality show like it.

With host Jordin Sparks and judges including legendary skater Terrell Ferguson and two-time Olympian figure-skater Johnny Weir, the series is sure to capture the attention of sports enthusiasts and reality TV fans alike.

The show centers on teams of skaters who face off in high-speed roller derby matches. Each episode features nail-biting action as competitors race, block, and strategize to outscore their opponents. Unlike traditional sports shows, Roller Jam offers an inside look into the lives of the athletes, revealing their struggles, victories, and the sacrifices they make for their sport, which has enjoyed spurts of popularity throughout its history.

“Skating has been cyclical throughout the decades,” says resident judge Terrell Ferguson. “There are football championships, there’s NBA championships, but there was never a show where you can say I’m the best. Now, there’s 150 thousand reasons that back you up when you say, ‘I’m the best.’ It’s the perfect time for the first skating show that’s televised in the nation.”

Roller Jam’s format blends the best of reality TV drama with the adrenaline-fueled excitement of competitive sports. It is the inaugural competition show from Magnolia Network, which is owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines.
