Tequila Cazadores has collaborated with actress Francia Raísa, who recently starred in the Hulu comedy series How I Met Your Father, to create a new—and gorgeous—home entertaining collection called Cocina Collection. This limited edition set of unique dishware, serveware, and table accessories is now available to purchase and features expertly handcrafted items by local Mexican artisans that will elevate home cooking and entertaining.
The Cocina Collection is inspired by Tequila Cazadores’ mantra—real tequila for real people—and also draws from Raísa‘s heritage as a Mexican-Honduran American. The actress strongly values staying connected to her roots and supporting artisans who represent the traditions and art of her culture. These ideas are illustrated in the stunning Cocina Collection. Warm colors and unique patterns dominate the collection, which never goes out of style. Whether you’re entertaining friends or having a simple home-cooked meal, setting your table with the fine-looking items from the Cocina Collection helps keep your own cooking and entertaining space fresh and inspiring.
The budget-friendly collection contains 14 different practical pieces. It includes placemats and napkins, small and large plates, coasters, and glassware to drink Tequila Cazadores cocktails. Some standout pieces include a molcajete ($22.49), which is a stone bowl that is used to grind and mix ingredients and perfect for serving guacamole, a vibrant pitcher with intricate designs ($32.99), a vase ($36.99), a set of four multicolor, hand painted, confetti cups ($79.99), and a charming oval tray ($25.99) that is versatile for all functions.
Starting October 24, you can go to cazadores.com to purchase any items from the collection. Just like every bottle of Tequila Cazadores, which is put together with passion and precision, the Cocina Collection proudly showcases extraordinary craftsmanship from talented Mexican artisans. The pieces are high-quality and durable. Each item has been distributed via Guelaguetza Designs, a Michigan-based company that collaborates with over 100 workshops from all over Mexico and is inspired by the colors of Tequila Cazadores’ core line of tequila—all made with 100 percent blue Weber Agave since 1922.
To celebrate the launch of the Cocina Collection, Raísa joined Manny Hinojosa, Tequila Cazadores’ Global Brand Ambassador, to host a thrilling dinner gathering held at Ka’teen, a buzzy, Tulum-inspired Mexican restaurant located in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, October 23. About 25 lucky guests at the intimate party got a sneak peek of the collection ahead of its official release. “I love the confetti-looking cups,” a guest said at the dinner. “It’s so pretty and full of color. It’s perfect to use for any party or gathering. I think my mom would want it too!” Another guest enthusiastically said, “I love all the colors of the collection. Everything pops and stands out. They did a great job in designing everything.”
The elegant dinner held at Ka’teen’s chic outdoor patio began with a toast given by Raísa. “Honestly, the collection was made with so much love, so much culture and fun. I’m proud of it,” she said. “I’m excited about this because I love hosting. It’s a new passion of mine. I like staying at home and I just feel like it brings people together through cuisine, drinks, through cocktails and I hope you enjoy the collection.” Raísa went on to explain that items from the collection are handcrafted “so don’t drop them or break them because they are limited edition. You won’t be able to get them again!”
The dinner party at Ka’teen also featured the most delicious meal of 11 authentic Mexican cuisine dishes. The incredible menu consisted of a carne asada ribeye steak that was unbelievably tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. It was the favorite dish among the guests. Other dishes served were roasted cauliflower al pastor, grilled fish, stripe bass ceviche, papas bravas, tres leches panna cotta, and more. Ka’teen is a fresh take on the ancient cuisine of the Yucatan Peninsula, brought to you by Chef Wes Avila. The food is not to be missed.
As for the drinks at the party, four tasty Tequila Cazadores cocktails were served, which included the Blanco Kuxtal that was made with Tequila Cazadores Blanco, Falernum Liqueur, pineapple juice, tamarind and fresh lime juice. Another cocktail that guests enjoyed was the Prickly Pear Mule which consisted of Tequila Cazadores Añejo, agave nectar, lemon, and ginger beer.
To commemorate the Cocina Collection launch, Tequila Cazadores has generously donated $20,000 to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, a nonprofit organization that focuses on education, workforce, social impact, and culture to further uplift and support the Hispanic community.
The partnership between Tequila Cazadores and Raísa is truly wonderful. Not only does the Cocina Collection offer classic home entertaining items with a fresh point of view, but it also brings people and unforgettable moments together.
