The outrageously hilarious comedic show, A Black Lady Sketch Show returns for season 3 with more wigs, more costumes, and more ridiculously funny characters.
The Emmy winning sketch comedy series stars Robin Thede, Gabrielle Dennis, Ashley Nicole Black, and Skye Townsend who was upped to a series regular. This upcoming season is also packed with more than 40 celebrity guest stars including Ava Duvernay, Raven-Symoné, Wanda Sykes, Kyla Pratt, Michael Ealy, Vanessa Williams, Loni Love, Jidenna, and more. The six-episode season will air on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max.
While viewers might be thrown off and downright shocked by the comedic abilities of past guest stars, series creator and star Robin Thede expected nothing less. “The writing is so excellent, our writers are just stellar, they’re phenomenal so we know that when we send the script to them, they’re already fully formed characters, they’re already super funny, so as long as they’re a good actor, they’re going to be able to deliver the material,” Thede shared. As amazing as the previous two seasons have been, fans are in for a real treat with a jam-packed season filled with big reveals, twists, and shocking surprises. “I’m excited for people to see it and have that comradery on Friday nights and Saturday mornings where we all get to discuss the sketches from the night,” Thede expressed.
