If you missed the Coachella Music & Arts Festival or have never been able to experience Burning Man, Resorts World Las Vegas gives you a little taste of both and then some with the largest touring immersive art experience, TRANSFIX.

The transformative experience comprised of over 50 interactive, shapeshifting kinetics, illuminated and fire breathing artworks by international artists across a 200,000sq ft multi-level venue will leave guests mesmerized. Participating artists include Pablo González Vargas, Christopher Bauder & KiNK, Marco Cochrane, FoldHaus Collective, Kate Raudenbush, Christopher Schardt, PLAYMODES, Olivier Ratsi, HOTTEA, Charlie Gadeken, Ouchhh, Iregular, LedPulse, NONOTAK, Kevin Clark, HYBYKOZO and many more.

“Our aim is to elevate and redefine ‘immersive.’ We believe that interacting with art at this large of a scale can change the world by illuminating one mind at a time. If we can inspire even a fraction of our guests to restore their childlike wonder and curiosity – or explore their own personal creativity and expression – we’ve done our jobs well,” said Tom Stinchfield, TRANSFIX co-founder and CRO.

Each of the installations bring their own unique components that can inspire, evoke emotion and insight connection – a true visceral experience just upon first glance. However, once you learn the thought and meaning behind the works, your connection to the pieces heightens like with Marco Cochrane’s ‘R-Evolution’. Cochrane’s monumental sculpture standing over 45 feet tall and weighing 32,000 pounds instantly grabs the attention of guests. Allowing oneself to pause and take in the massive sculpture as she stands in her power and breathing, radiating her own humanity is powerful. Cochrane is known for his large-scale sculptures of women intended to de objectify women and challenge viewers to see past the sexual charge that society associates with the female body.

“I think TRANSFIX can have a profound effect on art and art making in general, in turn changing the world. People will be doing what they want, following their bliss, and seeing the magic in the world,” said Cochrane.

The self-taught sculptor’s art has become a staple of Burning Man, an event centered around art, self-expression, community and decommodification.

Another artist that has made quite the impression at Burning Man and has now joined forces with TRANSFIX is Duane Flatmo. His 25ft kinetic sculpture, ‘El Pulpo Magnifico’ constructed almost entirely out of recycled and repurposed scrap iron and aluminum was featured on an episode of The Simpsons, ‘Blazed and Confused.’ The sculpture’s massive eyes pop in and out, while its tentacles rise and fall simultaneously as it blasts 30ft flames into the sky. But for those who want to engage with the art in a more controlled setting, be on the lookout for the 10 artists designed bars and speakeasys. Co-founders Michael Blatter and Tom Stinchfield have truly brought their vision and mission to ignite future art experiences that will foster a global creative economy, build a sense of community and support innovative art and artists to life.

TRANSFIX is currently open to the public and will run through Fall 2023. Following its Las Vegas residency, TRANSFIX will roll out globally with plans to tour across major US cities and abroad. For tickets or more information, click here.
