Peep the all-new exclusive Alien Day “Final Battle” Reeboks.

The original Alien Stomper was introduced in 1986 for the original Alien film. In keeping with the tradition of creating Reeboks inspired by the cult classic ‘Alien,’ this year’s “Final Battle” pack Alien Day Reeboks draw from the film’s final battle scene. While the yellow “Powerloader” stomper represents Ripley’s (Sigourney Weaver’s character) battle suit and the all black “Queen Alien” stomper represents the Xenomorph Queen. The Alien Day stompers will be available for purchase July 18th for $325 each. To pre-order the Alien Day Stompers, New York City residents can go to the Union Square Reebok FitHub to register for a pair in advance.

If you take a closer look at each stomper as well as their intricately designed boxes, you’ll find many nods and allusions back to the film that only true, die-hard fans will be able to recognize. The all-black “Queen” Stomper gloss finish is meant to emulate the Xenomorph exoskeleton while the green glow represents the Queen’s toxic blood. The Powerloader Stomper’s red arrows signify movement, while the P-5000 marking is the identical serial number worn by Ripley in the movie.

The stompers come packaged in two boxes. The first box or the inner layer is a replicate of the “Queen’s Chamber” while the outer box is the “Powerloader Bay.”

We caught up with the two designers behind each stomper and here’s what they had to say:

Xavier Jones designed the yellow “Powerloader” Stomper

The combat suit Ripley wears is actually a forklift and I just took cues from the machine such as the serial number and tying in some of the Caterpillar branding. Other details include the orange ice outsole, which mimics the siren on top of the Powerloader.

Any sneaker spots you like to visit while in New York?

Kith, Flight Club, Staple, Extra Butter

What’s your favorite pair of Reeboks?

It changes so much for me. I’ll say the DMX run 10-2.

Chris Hill designed the all-black “Queen” Stomper, as well as the inner and outer boxes.

Any sneaker spots you like to visit while in New York?

Kith is always good, Flight Club and in Boston we’ve got a spot called Bodega & Concepts.

What’s your favorite pair of Reeboks?

I’m a big fan of the Questions, Kamikaze 2, I’m justm ore in general into the basketball sneakers.

How many sneakers are you working at, at one time?

It kind of varies, at one point I might have 50 in a season, but now I don’t work on in-line as much, I do more like the special stuff, which is a dream come true for me. in-line stuff is fun, but with specials there are less marginal requirement, the costs aren’t as tough and you have freedom to do whatever.

Which special projects do you work on the most?

I work a lot with artists so I’ll do stuff with Cam’ron, Curren$y, Kendrick, Teyana’s got a shoe coming out that I’m working on.

Can you name some of the specific designs you’ve created for artists?

With Cam’ron we did the Ventilator Supreme ‘Purple Haze’ that came out 4/20 a year ago then we did another one for him that came out November, inspired by the pink fur. We’ve got another Cam’ron design coming this fall.
