Super Bowl weekend got kicked off early with Kola House and Pepsi’s collaborative party at Pier 70 in San Francisco. The function was thrown to preview Kola House’s New York City location which opens this upcoming Spring. Hip-Hop star Swizz Beatz attended the party and went on to DJ for all of the attendees. His set was filled with an eclectic mix of rap and techno.
The unique flow of Swizz’s performance also reflected the overall feng shui of Kola House’s preview party. The venue was decorated with a mix of neon lights and various interactive art presentations. The art installations were created by local San Francisco artists Jeremy Fish and Sam Flores. Kola House also provided a plethora of creative cocktail mixes and they even had a machine which produced snow cones filled with wine. The finger food distributed at the affair all incorporated the eponymous kola nut.
Following Kola House’s event, Pepsi threw their Super Friday Night party with special performer Pharrell closing out the night. The company announced the fan-voted NFL rookie of the year as Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston took home the award. The crowded affair was met with excellent fervor as multiple open bars and gourmet cuisine provided party goers with everything they could ask for and then some. Pharrell came on the stage at about 10:00 P.M. and he certainly didn’t disappoint. The “Get Lucky” singer not only performed all of his biggest hits including “Drop it Like it’s Hot” but also brought out a myriad of lauded performers such as rapper T.I. who collaborated with Pharrell on their infamous hit single, “Blurred Lines.”
Pharrell’s set finished as star producer DJ Khaled took the stage to close out the night with many of his illustrious hits. The affair was a long night of positive vibes and high octane energy as Pepsi met the challenge of commencing the biggest annual weekend of the sports world.
