Peter Luger is truly a phenomenal steakhouse experience. Established in 1887 in Brooklyn, New York, the restaurant has become renowned for its sublime dry-aged USDA Prime beef, exceptional service and incredible menu offerings that features legendary cuts like the porterhouse for two and sizzling thick-cut bacon. Thankfully, hungry visitors don’t always have to travel to New York to eat their iconic food. For West Coast residents, Las Vegas is also home of this legendary American steakhouse.
Peter Luger Steakhouse opened its first U.S. location outside of New York at Caesars Palace less than three years ago and has brought over 135 years of excellent steakhouse tradition to the Las Vegas Strip. The massive 8,700-square-foot restaurant has the quintessential New York City vibes that evokes old-world charm with oak-top tables, leather seating, a gorgeous bar, well-dressed servers and in-house dry-aging. The steaks are actually dry-aged on-site in a 4,000-square-foot facility located beneath the restaurant.
The food at Peter Luger is far beyond the norm and they make an exceptional steak you can’t find anywhere else. The Knockturnal stopped in and was blown away by the high-quality lunch menu that’s offered at a reasonable price. We tried the “Power Lunch Menu,” in which guests can choose one appetizer, one main course, one side and one dessert all for $49.95. This is such a great deal. And exclusive to lunchtime only, Peter Luger Las Vegas serves the signature Luger-Burger. The half-pound lunch special is made with a patty full of USDA Prime chuck and dry-age trimmings. We had to order it for our main course and every bite of it was glorious. The meat was perfectly cooked and it was thick, juicy and had a savory flavor. It’s also served on a soft sesame bun with a slice of raw onion with or without cheese. This is a must-order.

Other main courses on the lunch menu includes broiled chicken, grilled salmon, Maine Lobster Roll and USDA Prime Dry-Aged 1″ steak—a $30 supplement per person. We tried the yummy steak and it was juicy, succulent, and tender. The meat was served in a shallow pool of garlic butter and it was irresistible. It’s a popular dish and there’s a reason why. The hype is real and you definitely don’t won’t want to miss out on this.
For appetizers, Luger’s sizzling bacon was extra thick and delicious. We highly recommend it as well as their Caesar Salad with grated pecorino Romano. Alongside the selection of entrées is an offering of classic side options such as creamed spinach, German fried potatoes and broiled asparagus. And for dessert, the famed “Holy Cow” hot fudge sundae is available. It’s topped with Schlag—the housemade whipped cream. This dessert was amazing.
The Las Vegas location has an identical menu with its East Coast counterpart and offers Peter Luger’s signature horseradish-forward steak sauce. But Caesars Palace outpost offers the Vegas steakhouse staple—the fresh seafood tower. So, make sure to order this visually impressive and stunning centerpiece of food that’s indulgent.
