Pepsi Dig In held a pop-up at the newly opened SAINT in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan in honor of Pepsi Dig In Day. The event served as a preview for 2024’s Pepsi Dig In Day, a day spent encouraging diners to attend Black-owned restaurants.
Attendees got to sample light bites from SAINT’s menu, such as shrimp tacos, fried macaroni and cheese balls, and mini hamburger sliders. The refreshments were sponsored by Pepsi Dig In as well, with original cocktails like the Starry Peppa-Mint, featuring STARRY, white rum, simple syrup, cucumber, and a mint muddle, and the Chocolate Spritz with Pepsi-Zero Sugar, along with rum, chocolate bitters, and creme de cacao.
Halfway through the event, guests were treated to a toast from Pepsi Dig In spokesperson Tiffany Stephens, Sr. Marketing Manager (pictured above), and a live demo featuring the Chocolate Spritz.
This event gave guests an idea as to what was to come for official Pepsi Dig In Day, which took place August 24th in Chicago, Illinois. This event was a free block party with a performance from hip hop group Clipse, at the DuSable Black History Museum. Attendees received complimentary dishes and purchased food from food trucks including S2 CITY GRILL, Uncle Remus, CHKN Box, Can’t Believe It’s Not Meat and Lexington Betty Smokehouse and shopped from Black-owned businesses including Justice of the Pies, Moore Poppin, Destiny’s Water Icee + Ice Cream, Dat Donut, Carni-Go Freeze Dried Candy and Silver Spoon Desserts.
