The long awaited story of Queen Charlotte from our favorite Netflix Original series Bridgerton is finally here.
The anticipation for βQueen Charlotte a Bridgerton Storyβ has finally been settled. The hit Netflix spin-off premiered Thursday May 4, 2023 and I canβt stop watching it. We celebrated the premier night with the cast and Shonda Rhimes herself at Paley Center for Media in New York City.Β Fans of the Bridgerton series gathered together for a first time screening of the new soon to be hit show,Β Β
If you were a fan of the original series Bridgerton, then youβre going to loveΒ βQueen Charlotte a Bridgerton Storyβ. They lean into the story of our favorite Shondaland Queen, Queen Charlotte. From how she met and married King George. To her current victories and unfortunate challenges that she faces as Queen. The story is told in very Shonda Rhimes fashion, with a nice slice of humor, a huge slice of drama, and last and certainly not least, lots of steamy high chemistry moments between our characters.Β
Characters like our new favorite fresh faces India Ria Amarteifio as the young Charlotte, Corey Mylchreest as the young King George, and Arsema Thomas as the young Agatha Danbury. Although the series is focused on Queen Charlotteβs story, the story of King George and Agatha are also told in the enchanted series, βQueen Charlotte a Bridgerton Storyβ. All of the characters’ lives align with Queen Charlotte, as she graciously finds her way through life at court and life in general.Β
It continually amazes me how powerful and brilliant Shondaβs writing is. Knowing that each character has so many layers is a setup for greatness. From the wardrobe which Golda Rosheuvel who plays Queen Charlotte, says can take up to β2 hours to get readyβ. Just know that when you watch anything, Bridgerton, youβre investing your watch time into powerful writing, spectacular acting, and divine inspirational wardrobe.Β
