On The Scene: Universal’s CinemaCon Presentation

Their slate includes everything from A Dog’s Journey, the sequel to A Dog’s Purpose, Seth Rogen’s raunchy comedy Good Boys to the in highly-anticipated Cats as well as Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

On hand for their film’s trailer were the stars of the film themselves Hobbs and Shaw AKA The Rock and Jason Statham. As the two jovially joked about which one was more of a badass as well as who has less hair, it became apparent that their film will truly be a wonderful, wild ride. They even argued over the name of the movie with Statham joking that it should be called Shaw and Hobbs.

The film is the first spin-off in the Fast and the Furious franchise. It centers around the franchise’s dynamic duo Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw. The film tells the story of the two teaming up to stop a new threat from a cyber genetic enhanced terrorist. Also, this action comedy takes place two years after The Fate of the Furious.
