On Friday, October 26 in their Soho showroom The Selects kicked off their retail pop up shop party featuring raffles, manicures, and refreshments. Although though the crowd was very mixed DJ STEVESLOWSTEADY & DJ ALFRES.INI were still the pulse of the evening. The DJ’s were playing different genres of music and tying them all together with K-pop, and RnB.
The selects are a joint project supported by the Republic of Korea Ministry of culture, sports and tourism (MCST) and the Korea creative content agency (KOCCA). Despite K-culture officially launching its collection in September 2018 as a wholesaler, they have received so many general sales requests, the owner decided to split the show room in half and make as many sales as possible until November 14th. The Korean clothing lines intentionally selected to be in the show room are; the unisex contemporary line Nohant, the weird but beautiful Bmuet (te), LIE, KYE, HEOHWAM, The Centaur, SWBD, WnderKammer, hidden forest, and the classic American preppy, Beyond Closet.
The beauty side of the room had a service station for live product demos and services. Hanahzo, to cool for school, and their escalator mascara that lengthens by twisting the cap, Madecera, rules of mastic, on the move gym wipes, and nail Jam were amongst the many innovative beauty products being represented Friday night. The beauty products ranged from clean (vegetable based) cosmetics and soaps to mandatory must haves. For example Sep’s Gel nail polish is safe to use during pregnancy, non toxic (child safe), can be applied over old manicures and peels effortlessly off for removal.
Overall, The Selects are providing high-end Korean products to be sold at a significantly affordable price point with out compromising quality. There are almost have 20 days left to catch this very rare sale opportunity, DONT MISS IT!
