The auction was to benefit the Victoria’s Voice Foundation, which was founded by Siegel and her husband.
Summer has officially started according to The Queen Of Versailles!
Earlier this May, Jackie Siegel hosted the Summer Billionaires Night and Auction to benefit the Victoria’s Voice Foundation.
Jackie Siegel starred in The Queen Of Versailles documentary in 2012 which followed Siegel and her husband David’s journey to construct one of the largest homes in the U.S. David Siegel is the founder of Westgate Resorts, a timeshare resort company.
Victoria’s Voice Foundation was created after Siegel’s 18-year-old daughter Victoria died of a drug overdose in 2015. A book with her diary entries Victoria’s Voice was published years after her death.
Many items and opportunities were auctioned off at the event including tickets to sports games and valuable jewelry. Guests went home with a copy of Victoria’s Voice and a pamphlet on drug awareness.
According to the foundation, around 200 people die a day of a drug overdose. The Victoria’s Voice Foundation is working to address the drug crisis and provide resources for families who have a loved one struggling with addiction.
The Siegel family’s story continues in a new series The Queen of Versailles Reigns Again on DiscoveryPlus, streaming now.
