On Tuesday March 3rd, Epic Records and MTV held their MTV Push Live Showcase at Chelsea Music Hall in NYC.
The showcase consisted of Stunna Girl, Lonr. and Flipp Dinero. The showcase was held at Chelsea Music Hall which is an intimate venue, giving these artists a chance to perform and show out and potentially make new fans.
The first performer on the showcase was Stunna Girl, a 21-year old artist from Sacramento who gained popularity through her song “Runway”. She began her set with a lot of energy and was showing off her dance moves for the audience. Stunna Girl performed a couple of songs off her album YKWTFGO including “Back In the Day”. She was able to have great stage presence even though she is a young artist, and was able to give the audience an introduction to some of her music.
The next performer on the showcase was Lonr. a two time Grammy-winning songwriter who is now breaking out as a solo artist. After releasing his first two songs “A.M.” and “Safe Zone” Lonr. is making strides to become a successful R&B artist instead of just a songwriter. Since he only has two songs that are out, he was performing some unreleased music that he plans on dropping in 2020 along with his debut project titled Land of Nothing Real.
Flipp Dinero was the final artist to perform in the showcase. Flipp broke out in 2018 with his smash hit “Leave Me Alone” and has been gaining popularity ever since. Flipp paid homage to the late Brooklyn rapper, Pop Smoke by opening and closing his set with his songs “Gatti” and “Welcome To The Party”. During his set Flipp Dinero performed songs off his latest project Love For Guala like “Looking At Me” and “How I Move”. Flipp’s set was filled with his many hits and he finished his set and the showcase by performing “Leave Me Alone”.
