On the last night, to send NYFW out in style, Macy’s put on a fashion show and an after party to be remembered for seasons to come.
Lights! Camera! Fashion! was the theme and this production, which was nothing short of awesome!
We are talking Macy’s here and we all know that Macy’s doesn’t do anything on a small scale. The evening started out with a beautiful fashion show at Madison Square Garden. Next, special guests were invited into their Herald Square flagship Macy’s store for an after party in collaboration with Samsung – the all-new Samsung Gear S2 to end NYFW S/S 2016.
Having Hip Hop legend Biz Markie in the DJ booth and featuring a magical performance by Queen of the Night, the event was a breathtaking experience. As soon as we entered the store, we walked the red carpet as photographers took our pictures. About 25 hostesses stood in a row near each entrance holding beverages for the party guests. Event coordinators handed each guest a key that could possibly be the key to unlock a prize box. There were about 10 located throughout the store.
The food was superb and well crafted beverages by Stella Artois only made for a better time. Biz Markie rocked the DJ booth and kept the party upbeat the entire night playing a mix of hip hop, pop, contemporary, and top 40’s.
Next we checked out the all new Samsung Gear S2. The durable stainless steel body sits slim and sleek on your wrist. We were able to get up close and personal with it, learn about all of its wonderful features and ask any questions about the product.
You can easily customize the watch face and change watch bands, making it truly a device for all occasions. With features such as touch screen, the ability to track your daily activity levels, twitter, monitoring your water vs. caffeine intake, Voxer (a voice, text, and photo app), and timely motivational messages (just to name a few); who wouldn’t want a Samgsung Gear S2?
Notables we spotted at the party included: Cynthia Bailey, Macy’s Chairman and CEO Terry Lundgren, singer Nate Ruess, Brad Goreski, Jamie Chung, Fern Mallis, Tommy Hilfiger, Thalia, Christopher Kunz, President and CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America Steven Kolb and Charl Brown.
This was definitely the way to end New York Fashion Week! Thank you Samsung for the invite!
