“The inspiration came from this girl that’s a performer and a dancer, it came from Loie Fuller, the serpentine dancer, Stuart told Hollywood Life. “She’s going from dress rehearsal to the stage and in this dark dramatic, kind of mood.”
Sitting front row were a bevy of chic women, including Zosia Mamet, Kelly Killorean Bensimon, Julia Goldani-Telles, and singer Dej Loaf.
Stuart is also known for wearable separates and that’s what she delivered. Taking the form of stylish layers, models were draped in chiffon dresses and minis over colorful leggings. Other themes included jersey wrap dresses and asymmetrical capes and oversized shirts and skirts. Pattern-wise, Stuart stuck to what she knows best — florals and colorblocking.
