Friday, August 6th marked the grand opening of the Thompson Hotel’s rooftop lounge Bar Lis.
Designed by Bernadette Blanc, Bar Lis is a new rooftop lounge that brings the sophistication of the Cote D’Azur to the heart of Hollywood. The evening started at 8 p.m. just as the sunset over Los Angeles. With quartz tables and beautiful flower centerpieces, the venue carries a certain “Je ne sais quoi.” Mia Moretti was the DJ for the night and had attendees dancing throughout. Guests were treated to an open bar, with Bar Lis’s signature cocktails being served and whatever else an attendee could think to order. Hor d’oeuvres were provided and included a whipped potato puree with caviar on top.
Between the music, drinks, delicious food, and beautiful people, Bar Lis is set to distinguish itself amongst the other rooftop bars in the surrounding area. The lounge itself has beautiful 360 views of all of Hollywood and Los Angeles, at sunset, it is truly the place to find yourself. The staff was friendly, polite, and helpful. You truly felt like you were welcomed into the space. Overall, the experience was amazing and I would encourage anyone to check out Bar Lis whether it’s for a drink with friends or a romantic night out.
